The Situation
Forces that override your truest potential
Spending years deeply connected to environments, relationships, and connections that subtly shape the trajectory of your daily life. Entanglements, social pressures, wounds that still have a keloid looming over it from the past wrong doings. You begin to notice that the choices, decisions, efforts, and personal desires have become not entirely your own. You don’t know why but you feel guilty, obligated, fearful, needing for approval from somewhere…somehow. You may be functioning externally but internally you feel a tight string handing on for dear life as it tethers away from the constant tug of emotional war. Here is when you eventually say “I cannot get to where I want to be while living according to someone else’s ball of yarn.”
It is time to cut the unneeded strings, but how?
The Identity
Breaking free is self-governing
Right now, you “self” is driven by external validations and values, whether you like to admit it or not. That is why you are here, just trying to sort it out. Welcome to your chance to start your sovereign self.
Self: Led, Aware, Regulated, Trusting, and Respecting
The pressure is too much, begin to value your roots. Your conditioning, triggers, and wounds have been concealed and suppressed for too long. You need to face them. You have been ruled over just hoping for a break, your responses need to change. It appears your "discernment” have been off lately, trust yourself with this one. Protecting everyone’s feelings but your own is noble and all but you abandoned yourself in the process. Stand still and catch up, you deserve to put all that energy inward. Take this one extremely personal, it’s overdue.

The System
“Be S.A.L.T.Y”
See the (S)trings: Notate the stings that are keeping you bogged down, the strings may feel very real but realize they are of the invisible type. They were talked and thought into existence. Luckily what is done can now be undone. If you have ever gone through any of the following. This system is for you.
Been manipulated
Had a trauma bond
Was loyal out of fear
Conditioned to feel guilty
In an unhealthy power structure
Too much responsibility through social or family expectations
Assess the Tension: Not every string is harmful, but each one should be examined closely. Here is where you evaluate your connections and determine if they are empowering or restrictive. This helps factor in real support from control. In a healthy way, regardless of the tension, there are healthy ways of knowing what is worth to keep long term. It is shown through mutual respect, emotional safety, encouragement, and shared growth. That’s good tension. If you lack any or all of those characteristics, it is time to use your preverbal scissors and get to snipping.
Loosen the bonds: This sounds instantaneous after the snipping. However, it is not. You still got work to do. This is gradual liberation and for the more stubborn strings that can’t be cut. Strategic weakening costs more than you know. Are you really ready? The cost is reducing your access to others, practicing the previous systems mentioned throughout the weeks, as well as decreasing your dependency.
Tell the Truth: Challenge every false narrative and don’t apologize for calling it out. Be comfortable with the uncomfortable. You don’t need them to survive. You are not selfish for setting boundaries. Your worth is not determined by what you can be utilized for. Pleasing others will not bring personal peace. The sooner this mindset is adopted, the better. No, this does not mean everyone deserves this treatment, but there are more connections that need this done rather than not. It is just to be better prepared for if or when it happens again.
Yield into your sovereignty: Take the lead as you are now the authority figure. The master of your fate and the captain of your soul.
The Execution
Repetition + Rebellion = Release
This is business and personal. Through the knowledge gained here opens up several reference points to repeat. As boundaries take hold, so will your sanity. With your newly gained independence calls for your one-way ticket to a positive rebellious stage. Yes, it is 100% okay to say NOOOOOO. Limiting the external beliefs but internally you realized things are not as complex. It is simple. Your release is your responsibility.
Someone achieves the S.A.L.T.Y. process by treating it less like a mindset shift and more like a repetition of small, concrete behaviors that slowly rewire how they respond to pressure, guilt, and control.
It starts with awareness that is made practical. Instead of just “realizing” something feels wrong, they actively track it. They notice patterns like: When do I feel obligated instead of willing? Who makes me feel anxious after interactions? Where do I say yes but feel resentment afterward? Over time, this builds a clear map of their “strings” instead of a vague emotional sense.
Then comes boundary practice, which is where most change actually happens. They begin using simple, direct actions like saying “I can’t do that,” delaying responses instead of instantly agreeing, and limiting access to their time and attention. At first, this feels uncomfortable because old conditioning often equates boundaries with guilt. But repetition weakens that response.
Next is dependency reduction. This means slowly pulling energy away from what drains them—less explaining, less emotional over-investing, fewer automatic commitments. They replace over-functioning with selective participation. In business or personal life, they stop reacting out of urgency and start responding out of choice.
Instead of “I have to,” it’s “I have the choice to choose”. It is deeper than positive thinking, it’s language correction that forces the brain to stop treating pressure as obligation. Sovereignty is achieved through consistency. Not one big decision, but through the repeated unlearning of what once was. Over time, the nervous system levels, guilt loses intensity, and autonomy becomes the default instead of the exception. Don’t be salty about it…be S.A.L.T.Y about it! You don’t become this way simply by understanding it through the words on your screen. It is the real time moments that you have to use as practice. Not now…but right now.

Aurora’s Final Thought
Today you make the active choice and refuse to abandon yourself any longer. Through this process of recognizing that many of the “strings” shaping your life were never physical constraints, but conditioned agreements you can choose to rewrite. What makes this work powerful is not the idea of cutting everything and everyone away, but the steady return to self-authority. The act of seeing a little clearer, choosing deliberately, and holding boundaries consistently. You can finally navigate with intention. In the end, sovereignty is not a dramatic break from everything around you but a feeling of immense satisfaction through the change. As momentum isn’t optional…it’s an entry fee.
Even after hours of change there is still more to do! To become a true outlier is to continue on this journey. You made it here for a reason. You WANT the wisdom. You NEED the now how. You DESIRE to deconstruct what has held you back for so long. You are ready to become an Outlier. Be proud that you are taking the steps needed, are you ready to take the next one?
